tips on blocking?


my tivolio is coming along. just a few more inches to go. any good tips for blocking this? i want to flatten the rolled edges as much as possible.

No amount of blocking will stop it from curling entirely, but I found that the pin & spritz method reduced it a whole lot. To cut out rolling entirely, consider doing a crocheted edge around the neckline and/or a hem at the hip edge. The picot method works just great, too!

I've tried both methods, and will post pics soon.

BTW, t hat's a great photo (nice perspective) and I love those colors!

The blocking for my daughter's Tivoli consisted of using a steamer AND doing a crab stitch around the edges. It helped but it still tends to roll a little bit.
